The Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) has been working for over 100 years to bring together women from across the world to tackle the root causes of conflict and violence to establish a peaceful and equitable world. We fully support the Lakenheath Walk for Peace as we do not believe in the narrative that more weapons bring us more security. We agree that we need a strong message to go to our newly elected politicians that we do not want more US weapons stored at RAF Lakenheath, which is already the largest US operated base in England.
