Campers have been tired, hot and wet, but are now better known, open to visitors, and well supported. A local resident, who did not wish to be named, donated £180 to the cause, saying that it was very hard for local people to speak out.
Another visitor, Megan Jenkins from Cromer, described ‘a friendly welcoming community objecting to what’s going on in the world’. Her son Tom ‘felt part of something good’ adding ‘with all the war and destruction and chaos in the world, being in community feels very freeing’.
