There appears to be some concern from the police that non-violent direct action may happen. Anyone taking part in this will have considered the risk of arrest.
You will notice that there are daily de-escalation and non-violence workshops that you can attend. If you know you want to book a non-violent direct action session then as places are limited please contact Marcus on peace_marcus@yahoo.co.uk
For others the arrest risk is very low but not zero. Therefore, you may want to take some time before coming to write a draft police statement that you can give the police just in case you are arrested that would explain why you have joined the camp and feel impelled to act and what your motivations are. This also helps as you can hand it in during any interviews instead of answering any questions! It is also useful in any ensuing court cases.
We have a bust card in the very unlikely event of your arrest and as a sensible precaution. They will be printed, folded and available on the walk/cycle and at the camp. Double-sided printable version of the bust card is available here.
